A TYPICAL DAY…
8am- Drink 16 oz. of water before doing 10 min.
of get me going exercise.
9am BREAKFAST- I drink a FIXX shake made
with 24 oz.of water in my Blender Bottle.
I carry it around and sip on it all morn-
ing.
**Take a FORM with 8 oz. bottled water 30 minutes before lunch.
12pm LUNCH- Salad: spinach, cheese, onion,
tomato, green beans, avocado, Cheese-
cake Factory Dressing on a 9 inch plate.
** I carry water around with me all day and drink 2-3, 24 oz. water bottles for the whole day. I use calorie free flavor packets sometimes so things don’t get monotonous.
3pm SNACK- Atkins Protein Bar & water
**Take a FORM with 8 oz. of bottled water 30 minutes before dinner.
6pm DINNER- I eat whatever my family eats
only try to cut carbs for myself and add a
salad. For example if we are eating soft
tacos, I make a taco salad (no chips) or
instead of spaghetti & garlic bread, I eat a
kid size portion of pasta & a side salad.
830pm SNACK- Caffeine Free Diet Soda w/ lime,
Cheese Stick
**If I stay up late working, I take a FORM so I am not tempted to snack. I also drink water while I work.
THINGS I GAVE UP…
· Caffeinated Soda- I only occasionally drink caffeine-free diet soda and never with meals.
· Late night meals & snacks- 8:30 is my last snack cut off time even though I continue to drink water at night.
THINGS I LIMIT…
· Carbs- Like Michelle, I haven’t cut these out completely but try to limit them wherever possible. Carbs include fruits, breads, pastas, sweets, milk, etc.
THINGS I ADDED…
· Water- first thing in the morning and throughout the day. I use calorie free flavor packets in my water bottles to stir things up a bit.
· FIXX Shake- 100 calorie, low carb, high protein, organic super food! Has a full serving for fruit and vegetables, pro-biotics, digestive enzymes, etc.
· FORM 2-3 times a day- helps me control my irrational hunger and make conscious choices to eat smaller portions.
· Increased Activity- 10-20 minutes of formal exercise 3-4 times a week, usually first thing in the morning to get my metabolism going. I also try to maximize ordinary activity like taking stairs, lengthening my stride when walking, parking far away from a store, holding stomach muscles tight during stop lights, etc.
· Increased Protein, Good Fats and Veggies- These are some of the foods I eat regularly in salads or meals: Chicken, tuna, salmon, bacon, pepperoni, cheese (especially parmesan, cheddar, cream cheese and feta), spinach, romaine lettuce, green beans, onions (all kinds), tomatoes, avocados, pickles, mayonnaise, olive oil based dressings, sunflower seeds, pesto, etc.
